Mount Pleasant Productions was formed in February 2008. The encapsulation of the idea however took place a long long time ago, in a scene that was very different from what it has now become, back in 1997. Goals and plans in life sometimes need to be prioritized and this led to the delay of the formation of Mount Pleasant Productions to 2008.
-Purpose and Motivation: The purpose and motivation of this collective is to promote and
discover up and coming European and local acts by distributing and
releasing records and by organizing shows in Athens, Greece. Its
members have long been associated in the punk/hardcore scene by
organizing and promoting events (see ACME Team). This is a new effort powered with ambition and appetite for generating something new, prosperous, fun and positive. We want to contribute as much as possible to the European scene and especially the Greek scene, by creating a European network of friends, which will allow the distribution and exchange of bands their music and ideas, focusing on the same time a bit more to the ever-growing local punk-rock/hardcore scene.
